Friday, March 10
The House Republicans’ new “American Health Care Act” includes a direct attack on Planned Parenthood. Their plan would freeze funds to Medicaid, a major source of funding for Planned Parenthood, denying millions of Americans access to critical health care coverage. Women and men in underserved areas and low income earners would bear the brunt of this disastrous
policy.
Contrary to Republican rhetoric about Planned Parenthood…
- Planned Parenthood enjoys strong public support, according to sixteen nationwide polls.
- Abortions account for only 3% of services nationwide — and they are NOT funded by federal dollars.
- PP delivers vital healthcare to Americans: cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, family planning, prenatal care and HIV testing
