Rally to Open Government CANCELLED.

Will we ever get used to the Trump roller coaster? The nationwide rallies scheduled for tomorrow, January 29, have been cancelled now that Trump has signed legislation reopening the government until February 15. During this period of negotiations over border security, continue to tell your Members of Congress that you want the government to remain open without embracing Trump's anti-immigration agenda.

A roller coaster, no matter how dizzying and scary, is way more fun with friends. Get active with INCO so you can master roller-coastering!

Important Local Elections May 21

Voters will elect board members throughout Clatsop County on May 21 for Special Districts that oversee schools, water, fire departments, the Port of Astoria, and more. These Special Districts are essential parts of our communities. Board members set budgets, decide programs and priorities, and make other major decisions.

You can be a candidate for a Special District board in Clatsop County.

Help Longtime Astoria Resident Held by ICE

On December 14, 2018, Ruben Vera Perez was detained by ICE and taken to the Tacoma detention facility, where he remains awaiting a bond hearing. His family was left destitute because Ruben was the breadwinner for the family. Ruben has lived in Astoria undisturbed and undocumented and has worked and supported his family that whole time. His wife, children and grandchildren are all United States citizens. The Daily Astorian's article about him and last Friday's vigil is here.
