The lack of funding for the 2020 census is the latest attempt by the GOP to suppress the voting power of minorities. 
The House and Senate Appropriations Committees have drastically underfunded the census, which will be devastating http://wapo.st/2uSrBLM. 
Minority communities are already undercounted in the census. This lack of funding will make it worse. Minorities will be underrepresented in:
• Federal Medicaid funding
• Federal education funding
• Redrawing federal congressional districts

Minority voting rights are under constant attack:
• Republican states have gerrymandered districts strategically drawn to disenfranchise minority voters http://wapo.st/2wrQcXg
• the GOP exploited the rollback of the Voting Rights Act to close hundreds of polling places http://bit.ly/2f9jIGy
• Trump’s election fraud commission is suppressing the vote – especially minority communities http://bit.ly/2ttyuBC
The GOP wants to keep control for the next decade. An underfunded census, the gutted Voting Rights Act, and Trump’s election fraud commission make this possible – at the expense of minority voters.
The census and the right to vote are bedrock American ideals. We must fight guarantee these rights – for all communities. Our MoCs must fully fund the census, reinstate the voting rights act and disband Trump’s election fraud commission.
