May 1, Rise Up: The attacks against immigrants and refugees have been nonstop, from the Muslim ban to Trump’s mass deportation force. It’s time we rise up and show our support for the immigrants and refugees who are fighting back. That’s why we’ve teamed up with the Fair Immigration Reform Movement for Rise Up, a nation-wide action on May 1 for immigrants and allies to stand together and resist. Rise up with us by attending an event near you!
Any attack on immigrants is an attack on all of us. Together we can shine a light on the path to freedom and end the cruelty against immigrants and refugees.

April 29, March for Our Climate: The Trump administration’s first 100 days have also been filled with unprecedented attacks on the health and safety of American families and have decisively shown that his administration is siding with polluters over people at every turn. The Week Ahead in Congress
Zombie TrumpCare: Trump just won’t let his awful healthcare bill die. This week, he renewed his demand that Congress pass an ACA repeal bill. But as the White House and congressional Republicans continue working on their bill, they’ve only managed to make it worse. What hasn’t changed is the devastation the bill will cause: at least 24 million Americans would lose their coverage, premiums would increase, and people with pre-existing conditions could face astronomical premiums.
That’s why it’s critical that your Representative continue to hear from you. Tell them that you don’t want them wasting any more time on TrumpCare. For additional resources and talking points, see our “ Obamacare is the law of the land” guide.
The Budget: Now that your MoCs are back in Washington this week, they have to pass a stopgap funding bill, known as a “CR” ( Continuing Resolution), to fund the government past April 28. But with his 100-day report card looming on that same day, Trump is desperate for any legislative win he can get—so much so that his cronies in Congress may be willing to risk a government shutdown by including unpopular policy riders in the funding bill, such as:
- Defunding of ACA cost-sharing subsidies (CSRs) that millions of Americans rely on to keep coverage affordable
- Defunding Planned Parenthood and other family planning initiatives
- Additional funding for Trump’s mass deportation force, including his border wall, detention facilities, and more ICE agents
- Restricting federal funding for cities that take up sanctuary policies
- Defunding the EPA and other climate protection programs
Keep This Fight Going—for the Next Hundred Days and Beyond
Donald Trump made a lot of promises about what he would get done in his first 100 days, and no matter how he tries to spin it now, it’s pretty clear that he’s struggling to advance his absurd, extreme agenda. He never predicted that so many of you would be showing up, standing indivisible, and stopping him in his tracks.
But while we’re always grateful for donations, the most important thing you can do to advance the Indivisible movement is to keep showing up. As Congress returns to session next week, keep the pressure on with phone calls, office visits, and marches, and make sure they know that you and your group are watching what happens next, and you aren’t letting up—you’re standing indivisible, and together we will win.
