ACTION: Call to Vote Yes on Mar-A-Lago Act

From Indivisible Oregon...

**CALL TO ACTION**
Friday, April 7, 2017
——————————————————————————————
VOTE YES ON MAR-A-LAGO ACT
——————————————————————————————
Trump calls Mar-a-lago, where he has spent 5 of his first 9 weekends in office, the “Winter Whitehouse” and has conducted official business there, accordingly.

- - In February, Trump and Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe worked on a response to a North Korean missile test in the middle of an unsecured dining room, with club members coming and going. Yesterday Trump launch an air strike on Syria from the resort. Today Trump meets Chinese President Xi Jinping at Mar-a-lago for a summit on matters of national security and trade relations. http://cnn.it/2oKaE2b

- - On March 23, 2017 HR 1711 and S 721 were introduced.  Titled the “Making Access Records Available to Lead American Government Openness Act”, the “MAR-A-LAGO Act”  would require the Trump administration to maintain and publish visitor logs for the Whitehouse, Mar-a-lago and any other private locations the President conducts business.

As Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) noted: “Americans have long had the right to know who has access and influence in the White House, and this tradition of sunlight on inner workings of the executive branch must continue
