DEMAND THE FULL MUELLER REPORT NOW

ACTION ONE: JOIN US AT INDIVISIBLE TUESDAY

Join us at #IndivisibleTuesday today, Tuesday, April 2nd at 11:30AM in the courtyard of Senator Wyden’s and Representative Blumenauer’s office: 911 E 11th Ave.
We will encourage Senator Wyden and Representative Blumenauer to
  • Do all they can to release the Mueller report
  • Immediately obtain Trump’s personal and business tax returns and investigate him and his businesses for tax fraud in his committee.

ACTION TWO: CALL YOUR SENATORS

SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR WYDEN AND MERKLEY:

My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [city], Oregon [zip code].
For Wyden: I am calling to thank the Senator for speaking out about the dangers of Barr’s redactions in the Mueller report. We need to restore trust in government, but every line of redaction will further erode that trust. I ask that you continue to demand that the full report be made public. Thank you.”
For Merkley: I am calling to ask the Senator demand the full Mueller report be made public. We need to restore trust in government, but every line of redaction will erode trust. I ask the Senator to do all he can to make sure report is made public. Thank you.”

ACTION TWO: CALL YOUR HOUSE REPS

Not sure who your U.S. Representative is? Find out here.

SAMPLE SCRIPTS FOR REPRESENTATIVES:

My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [city], Oregon [zip code].
I am calling to ask the Representative demand the full Mueller report be made public. We need to restore trust in government, but every line of redaction will erode trust. I ask the Representative to do all he/she can to make sure report is made public. Thank you.

BACKGROUND:

We need the full Mueller report. So far, we have only Attorney General William Barr’s four-page summary, which Trump then re-summarized as “ . . . total and complete EXONERATION.”
Barr is now redacting portions of the report and says everyone can read it by mid-April. But a report censored by a Trump appointee will not rebuild trust in government.
The Mueller report is essential for many reasons.
  • It’s urgent because the report details Russia’s attack on the 2016 elections. Every day Congress lacks that information makes the 2020 elections more vulnerable.
  • It’s essential to answer why the Trump campaign allowed help from one of our foremost adversaries rather than report Russian overtures to law enforcement.
  • It allows the House leadership to do what Republican Senate leadership has refused to do for two years – to hold the president accountable when he undermines the rule of law.
House Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler wrote yesterday, “If President Trump’s behavior wasn’t criminal, then perhaps it should have been.”
Our democracy is anchored by the truth. But President Trump undermines democracy with his rain of lies and intentional misstatements – 9,451 at last count. If we allow ourselves to become unmoored from facts, we fall vulnerable to the unscrupulous and the corrupt.
Demand the report now.
