BACKGROUND:
The Senate trial begins at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
Last week, House committees transmitted to the Senate new evidence supplied by Giulani employer and big GOP donor Lev Parnas that:
- shows the President led the Ukraine extortion scandal,
- ties in VP Pence, AG Barr, and ranking Intelligence Committee member Rep. Nunes,
- documents attempts to threaten Rep. Yovanovich’s safety.
Parnas then said on national TV that AG Barr, VP Pence and Rep. Devin Nunes were all in on the plan.
And when Trump claimed he didn’t know Parnas, Parnas posted photos of him with Trump and family members, then warned that he would post a new photo for every time that Trump tweeted that lie.
We need to keep calling Congress and demand a fair trial. We also must work to vote in a new president and end Republican control of the Senate.
