ACTION: CONGRESS MUST CONTAIN THIS WHITE HOUSE

CONGRESS MUST CONTAIN THIS WHITE HOUSE

#TrumpThreatLevel
#TrumpRussia
#TrumpCorruption
America deserves a White House free from chaos. Instead we have a reality TV President who (seemingly) purposefully and unnecessarily creates instability putting our national security and constitution at risk.
Upending foreign policy
--firing Secretary of State and ideologically driving out career diplomats from the State Department
--threatening to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal
--refusing to fully implement Russian sanctions
--taunting North Korea with a nuclear strike, only to agree to a meeting without discussing it with our allies or having an ambassador to South Korea
Obstructing justice
--firing James Comey
--ordering White House counsel to fire Mueller, later backing off
--asking witnesses what they told Mueller
--firing Andrew McCabe
Condoning corruption
--Trump financially benefits from his businesses
--Trump’s son-in-law’s company has received loans after White House meetings
--numerous Cabinet officials have spent tax payer dollars on first class/private travel and elaborate office remodels
Throughout this whole process, Trump is replacing moderating influences with those that agree with his view point. That is why, now more than ever, Congress must contain this White House. And if this Congress won’t, we must vote in one that will.

**ACTION 1: CALL OUR SENATORS and YOUR REPRESENTATIVE**
(Leave a message if you can’t get through.)
SAMPLE SCRIPT:
“My name is [--] and I’m a constituent from [city], Oregon [zip code]. I am very worried about the chaos in the White House and the instability it is causing. Congress must contain this White House. I ask the Senator/Rep to work to pass legislation that 1) enacts ALL Russia sanctions, 2) prevents a first nuclear strike and 3) protects Mueller’s investigation. I also ask that Congress investigate the corruption and personal spending by administration officials. Thank you.”

**ACTION 2: GET YOUR MID TERM GAME ON**
It has become clear that we need a different Congress to stand up to this White House. Make sure you and everyone you know is registered to vote. Keep an eye on Indivisible Oregon’s website (IndivisibleOR.org) for our soon-to-be-published plans for midterms. In the meantime, check out our list of great election resources.
