COMPASSION AND COURAGE WITH THE NEWS
Try this positive approach for living with the news. Carol Newman says, "I read this as in no way to give up activism, rather a way to maintain sanity and ability to maintain energy and will to activate."
WALK WITH INCO IN THE ASTORIA REGATTA
GRAND LAND PARADE

Saturday, August 10  •  noon - 2 pm  •  downtown Astoria

Be part of this year's Regatta parade, celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Astoria Regatta. The parade is about 1 mile, with great company - Abe Lincoln and INCO activists for starters. Also, lots of cheers from spectators - plus historic figures, music, and a terrific opportunity to introduce INCO to even more people!
Jan, Kevin, Jean, and Carl sail through the 2018 Astoria Regatta in INCO's Vote Boat.
DEMOCRATIC DEBATE

Candidates and moderators are here. Note the time for these debates is 5 p.m.
You can see candidates' websites, listed on INCO's Vote the Future site
INDIVISIBLE OREGON'S TUESDAY CALL OF THE WEEK
Tell your Members of Congress:
Mueller's testimony showed two things. We need election security and an impeachment inquiry. We ask our Senators to keep pushing to pass election security legislation before the recess. We ask our Representatives to educate Oregonians about an impeachment inquiry over the recess and make impeachment inquiry hearings their first order of business when they return from recess.

Senator Merkley's DC office: 202-224-3753. Senator Wyden's DC office: 202-224-5244

INSIGHTS
"Democracy is a verb, not a noun."
-- Senator Corey Booker

"When the levers of power are seized by the small hands of hateful men,
you work hard, you stand with those who are most vulnerable,
and you don’t give up until it’s morning again."
--Liel Leibovitz
ACTION PRIORITIES
How will your Members of Congress know what you want if you don't tell them?

•  Contact ONLY elected officials who represent you so you don't dilute the power of actual constituents.
•  It's more effective to contact your MoC about one issue at a time.
•  Be sure to tell your MoC when you agree with their positions and votes.

Contact YOUR elected officials here.  For current action items, visit www.incoregon.org and www.indivisible.org.
