BACKGROUND:

The impeachment process is moving forward.
Chairman Nadler: “House Judiciary is filing a petition for 6e grand jury materials where we made clear to the court that we are considering impeachment, along with other options, under our Article I powers. Congress must hold this President accountable.”
Representatives Scanlon, Cicilline, Jayapal, Escobar: “As members of the House Judiciary Committee, we understand the gravity of this moment that we find ourselves in. We wake up every morning with the understanding of the oath that binds us as members of Congress, and the trust that our constituents placed in us to uphold that oath. We will move forward with the impeachment process.”
This process must continue and result in public hearings.  Congress must show that that no one is above the law and the electorate deserves to make an informed choice in 2020.  We must see evidence of Trump’s impeachable offenses including:
  • Obstructing justice
  • Campaign finance violations
  • Enrichment from the presidency
  • Committing human rights violations
The House is on recess.  They must hear that we demand
  • the impeachment process to keep moving forward
  • public impeachment hearings must be the first order of business when they get back.
