INCO Weekly Newsletter 1/22

Dear Indivisibles,
Congratulation on today's event!
On my drive back from today's summit to Cannon Beach I found myself suddenly smiling – I guess to myself, since no one else was in the car.
A year later we/I know what sets us apart from the Trump Base is our identifying what we are for and gather us as committed volunteers to make those for issues achievable goals that will place our country back to that shinning place where democracy is alive and well and meets the tenets of its meaning.
We must ... make certain every citizen understands our commitment to integrity and equity, balanced with sustainable and fair taxation to support long-held promises coupled with the new demands of a quickly changing world.
Thanks for reading my exuberant ramble, but I feel it is essential to begin our proclamations for what we are for as we  continue in 2018 working to get out the vote and continue to prepare for 2020....and I still can't stop smiling.
I am so lucky to be associated with all of you and our growing affiliates.

Excerpts of wisdom and warnings from
ON TYRANNY: TWENTY LESSONS FROM THE TWENTIETH CENTURY
by Timothy Snyder, Tim Duggan Books, 2017.

Lesson 19. Be a patriot. A nationalist encourages us to be our worst ....

Lesson 20. Be as courageous as you can. If none of us is prepared to die for freedom, then all of us will die under tyranny.
When the levers of power are seized by the small hands of hateful men, you work hard, you stand with those who are most vulnerable, and you don’t give up until it’s morning again.
