Congress: Tell Us What You Know About Trump's Ties to Russia

It’s time to press Congress for transparency in its investigations into Donald Trump’s ties to Russia and Russian interference in our elections.
• Mid-term elections are coming up fast. Congressional leaders likely will stop investigating so that they can start campaigning.
• The Senate Intelligence Committee co-chairs warned that more hacks are likely. Congress has done nothing to prevent election hacking.
• Meanwhile, the Senate Intelligence Committee chair sees no need for more public hearings.
• Donald Trump has lobbied repeatedly to end the investigations – a violation of the separation between executive and legislative branches.
This week, Fusion GPS, producers of the famous “Steele dossier” on the Trump-Russia ties, called on the three committees to release the transcripts of their closed-door testimony. Sen. Wyden – a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee -- has repeatedly urged the committee to “follow the money.” That’s what the Steele dossier focuses on, and why it is so explosive.
Our MoCs need to hear from us: committees should hold open hearings and release the Steele dossier. We need to know what to expect as the elections gear up. And we need to know how deep the constitutional crisis runs.
