DON’T GET DISTRACTED. EXPOSE TRUMPS LIES, ABUSE, AND CORRUPTION.

ACTION ONE: CALL YOUR SENATORS

SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR WYDEN AND MERKLEY:

My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [city], Oregon [zip code]. I am calling because…
I am worried that the facts about Trump’s abuse of power, corruption, and crimes are getting lost in this never-ending news cycle.  I ask the Senator to use his voice to cut through the noise and make it clear:
  • Trump’s phone call with the President of Ukraine, showsthe world that he pressured a foreign government to help him politically;
  • Congress must act decisively with immediate, robust, televised impeachment hearings that expose Trump’s abuses, corruption, and crimes;
  • Those impeachment hearings must end in a vote on impeachment.

ACTION TWO: CALL YOUR HOUSE REP

Not sure who your U.S. Representative is? Find out here.

SAMPLE SCRIPTS FOR REPRESENTATIVES:

My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [city], Oregon [zip code]. I am calling because…
For all except Walden: I am worried the facts about Trump’s abuse of power, corruption, and crimes are getting lost in this never-ending news cycle.  I ask the Representative to use his/her voice to cut through the noise and make it clear:
  • Trump’s phone call with the President of Ukraine, showsthe world that he pressured a foreign government to help him politically;
  • Congress must act decisively with immediate, robust, televised impeachment hearings that expose Trump’s abuses, corruption, and crimes;
  • Those impeachment hearings must end in a vote on impeachment.

For Walden: I am very concerned about Trump’s abuse of power, corruption, and mental state.  Will the Representative put country over party and support the impeachment process?  I ask him to please stand up for our country, the constitution, and the rule of law and support robust impeachment hearings now.

BACKGROUND:

Don’t get distracted by press conferences, meltdowns, and White House folders.
Keep going back to the facts.  Trump’s corruption and abuse of power are at the root of this impeachment inquiry.  Trump released the memo outlining his phone call with the President of Ukraine, showing the world that he pressured a foreign government to help him politically – an impeachable offense.
We must all keep calling and insisting our Members of Congress bring it back to the facts: Trump has committed impeachable offenses, betraying our country and putting his own political and financial interests first.  Congress must act decisively by holding immediate, robust, televised impeachment hearings, that expose Trump’s abuses, corruption, and crimes, and ultimately end in a vote on impeachment.
No one is above the law.
