CONGRESS MUST VOTE ON IMPEACHMENT
ACTION ONE:
Join us at #IndivisibleTuesday
Join us today at 11:30 a.m. outside the offices of Sen. Wyden and Rep.Blumenauer in the courtyard of the Federal Building at 911 NE 11th Ave. We will thank them for being leaders on impeachment inquiry and ask that they use their voice to insist that:
- Congress act decisively with immediate, robust, televised impeachment hearings that expose Trump’s abuses, corruption and crimes;
- those impeachment hearings end in a vote on impeachment.
Indivisible Oregon is calling on Congress to act decisively to hold immediate, robust, televised impeachment hearings, expose Trump’s abuses, corruption, and crimes, and vote on impeachment.
Our journey began five months ago when, after weeks of careful consideration, Indivisible Oregon issued the following statement on impeachment:
Trump has committed impeachable offenses. Congress must hold him accountable by opening an impeachment inquiry.
Since then, we have made calls and showed up at districts visits with this ask. And on September 24, 2019, Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared the start of formal impeachment inquiry.
We thank everyone who called and showed up to insist on an impeachment inquiry. And we thank our Members of Congress who listened and supported an impeachment inquiry: Representative Earl Blumenauer, Representative Suzanne Bonamici, Senator Jeff Merkley, Representative Pete DeFazio, Senator Ron Wyden, Representative Kurt Schrader.
President Trump pressured a foreign government to help him politically. Again and again, throughout his presidency, he has committed impeachable offenses, betraying our country and putting his own political and financial interests first.
No one is above the law.
