BACKGROUND:
The House is back in session. And the Judiciary, Oversight, Intelligence, and Finance Committees are coming back to a full newplate of impeachable offenses to investigate:
- Trump stuffs his pockets with taxpayer dollars:
- Pence stayed at Trump’s Irish resort, 181 miles from his meetings in Dublin
- DoD diverted aircraft/personnel to prop up Trump’s Scottish resort
- WH announces Trump’s Florida resort will host 2020 G-7 Summit
- Trump extorts Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election
- Trump’s administration commits human rights abuses at the border
- Trump promises pardons to officials if they break the law to build the border wall
- Trump takes billions of dollars from DoD and FEMA to fund wall construction, disregarding Congressional intent, while expecting to “backfill” these funds later
- Trump evades Senate confirmation by appointing “acting” officials or simply not making nominations
- 47% of key DHS officials are confirmed
- No US ambassadors to Canada, Japan or Pakistan!
Additionally, Congress must continue vigorously investigating the many instances of obstruction of justice revealed in the Mueller Report and the national security threat Trump poses, evidenced by his public statements supporting Russia/Putin’s interests.
Time’s up!! Congress, do your job!
