Attorney General Barr lied to Congress, obstructed justice by misrepresenting the Mueller report, and is now defying subpoenas and refusing to testify.  He must be and must be held accountable. I ask the Senator to publicly state Barr has committed impeachable crimes by lying to Congress, and to call for Congress to hold Barr accountable.

SAMPLE SCRIPTS FOR REPRESENTATIVES:

My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [city], Oregon [zip code]. I am calling because…
Attorney General Barr lied to Congress, obstructed justice by misrepresenting the Mueller report, and is now defying subpoenas and refusing to testify.  He must be and must be held accountable. I ask the Representative to publicly state Barr has committed impeachable crimes by lying to Congress, and to call for Congress to hold Barr accountable.

BACKGROUND:

“[Barr] lied to Congress If anyone else did that, it would be considered a crime.  Nobody is above the law. Not the President of the United States and not the attorney general” – Speaker Nancy Pelosi
“He [Barr] made a decision and didn’t review the evidence.  No prosecutor worth her salt would make a decision about whether the President of the United States was involved in an obstruction of justice without reviewing the evidence.  This attorney general lacks all credibility and [ ] has compromised the American public’s ability to believe he is a purveyor of justice.” – Senator Kamala Harris
“The summary letter  . . . did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office’s work and conclusion . . . There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation” – Robert S. Mueller III, Special Counsel
Barr serves Trump, not America. He committed crimes by lying to Congress, obstructed justice by misrepresenting the Mueller report, and rushed to judgment without reviewing the underlying evidence.  Now he is defying subpoenas and refusing to testify before the House Judiciary Committee.
Attorney General Barr has committed impeachable offenses.  Congress must hold him accountable.
