The GOP is determined to repeal the ACA.  They are leaving it all out on the field for their latest effort – the Graham-Cassidy-Heller amendment. It is far worse than the repeal bills of the summer.

The sponsors are pushing hard for their bill and preparing for a vote the week of September 25th.  Mitch McConnell is all in. He hates to lose (http://politi.co/2h3OFO7, http://bit.ly/2ya9zmi).

The Graham-Cassidy-Heller amendment will gut Medicaid, throw millions off insurance, and allow each state to create its own system.
• it lets states accept block grants to fund healthcare. Block grants are budget cuts in disguise http://lat.ms/1UhWnmW.
• it would end Medicaid expansion and private insurance subsidies http://bit.ly/2hl1hUu
• blue states would see their healthcare funding cut while red states would see increases https://usat.ly/2wHkqFM

The Republicans have until the end of September to push through this repeal with just 50 votes (http://bit.ly/2vSCJnq).  Midnight September 30, the fiscal year ends, and 60 votes will be needed after that for any effort to modify the ACA.

The GOP are hoping we are not paying attention.  We need to show them we are. We cannot take anything for granted.

We must light up the phones and show that we really mean it: no repealing the ACA.
