Action: RBG’s Legacy: Dissent & The Rule Of Law

RBG'S LEGACY: DISSENT & THE RULE OF LAW

caely.barrett@gmail.com

Background

Democrats help us and uphold the rule of law. Trump's GOP help themselves and uphold the rule of Trump.

Trump knew the danger COVID-19 posed in January. He lied, undermined federal agencies designed to help, and 200,000 of us have died. Barr corrupted our DOJ to serve Trump's legal needs and authoritarian demands -- and lied to Congress. We and the Constitution demand the House impeach them.

Senate Democrats must be a strong opposition party. They must use every procedural tool at their disposal to block confirmation of yet another unqualified GOP ideologue and Trump sycophant.

RBG's last wish "... should not be read as the fleeting hope bubbles of a dying old lady, but as an exhortation to fight from the fiercest defender of women’s rights of her generation. This was her dying dissent: a message not about what Trump and McConnell should do, but about what we must do." We must honor her legacy with our dissent. We must call our MOCs daily to insist they protect us and our democracy. We must work, despite our grief, to get out the vote and win the Presidency, flip the Senate, and hold the House. Together we must. Together we can.
