BACKGROUND:
Oregon had a huge turnout for our May primary. All involved proudly participated in our democracy free from worry over crowds and covid 19.
The turnout for the November 2020 general election promises to be historic and record breaking. The entire country must join Oregon with national vote by mail. And we need a functioning well funded US Postal Service to do this.
Our Oregon delegation is leading the way to enact national vote by mail with Representatives Blumenauer, Bonamici and Defazio helping pass the Heroes Act – which includes national vote by mail and money for the US postal Service.
Senators Wyden and Merkley are pushing to get the Heroes Act through the Senate but Leader McConnell will not hear of it. Our Senators need our calls to show that Oregonians are proud of vote by mail and we insist the Senate pass the Heroes Act to save the US Postal Service and enact national vote by mail.
