BACKGROUND:

While we all take note that Oregon/Portland‘s Gordon Sondland’s revised testimony clearly outlines that Trump has committed impeachable offenses and we continue to support the impeachment process, we also need to focus on the budget.
The government’s current budget runs out November 21. Congress is on recess. When they return they will only have a handful of days to pass a budget. Trump has made statements intimating he will shut down the government to stop the impeachment process. He shut it down last holiday season over his racist wall. And when Congress wouldn’t fund his wall Trump declared an emergency and took funding from other projects leaving our military and communities hurting.
Congress must protect our safety net and the impeachment process. There must be no cuts to our safety net, no additional money for CBP and ICE. The impeachment process must continue unabated.
Congress must stand up to this racist corrupt president as a co-equal branch of government.
