BACKGROUND:
For months, Indivisible Oregon has asked our Members of Congress to hold Trump accountable for his impeachable offenses with an impeachment inquiry
As of this writing 5 of our MoCs have come out in support of an impeachment inquiry: Representative Blumenauer, Representative Bonamici, Senator Merkley, Representative Defazio, and Senator Wyden.
We send a heartfelt thank you to all of them.
We thank them for having the courage to stand up and fight for our democracy.
We thank them for making it clear that impeachment inquiry is not political, but the right thing to do.
We thank them for showing that no one is above the law – not even the president.
We thank them for shining a light on Trump’s impeachable offenses – including his obstruction of justice and illegal treatment of our neighbors at the border
And while we thank them, we ask that they continue to educate the public and push Congress to hold impeachment hearings as soon as the recess is over.
