Yesterday the GOP reached a deal on the Trump Tax Scam.  They are moving at lightning speed, bypassing regular order, to get this passed before Doug Jones is seated.  This is our last chance to stop the Trump Tax Scam.

Details are forthcoming but the take away is that instead of improving things for middle-class Americans, the GOP agreed to LOWER the corporate tax rate and rates for top earners.  

This bill takes tax money paid into the system by average Americans and gifts it to GOP donors in the form of tax cuts.  The $1.5 trillion deficit this bill creates is being used by Republicans to support calls to slash entitlements, including Medicare and Medicaid.

We must act now to stop the Trump Tax Scam.  Our best chance is in the Senate:
• urge our Senators to slow down Senate business
• demand that they insist the tax vote wait for Doug Jones
• phone bank to encourage people in red states to call their senators (action below)
• help friends and family in red states call their Senators

We saw what working together did in Alabama.  Let’s build on that and stop the Trump Tax Scam!

Contact progressive constituents in critical swing states and urge them to call their Senators to insist that Doug Jones be seated before the vote and to urge them to vote NO on the Tax Scam.

We must stop this vote. Thank you for fighting for us.”
