Attorney General Barr lied to the American public, to the courts, and to Congress about the substance of the Mueller report and about DOJ spying on Trump’s 2016 campaign. He also refused to recuse himself from, and tried to bury, the whistleblower complaint, asserted claims of “absolute immunity” to prevent production of witnesses and documents demanded by Congress, violated his oath to the Constitution, and has actively worked to undermine the rule of law and the integrity of the 2020 election.

Since being confirmed, Barr’s been acting as Trump’s “fixer” and eroding DOJ’s independence:
- more interested in protecting Trump with exaggerated view of executive power than upholding rule of law
- weaponized DOJ to go after Trump’s enemies
- destroyed Mueller report in eyes of public, giving Trump green light to shake down Ukraine to smear political rival
- lied to Congress about DOJ spying on Trump’s 2016 campaign and pursued discredited conspiracy theories about it
- pressured foreign officials discredit Mueller probe
- tried to bury whistleblower complaint
- refused to recuse self from Ukraine matter
- asserted “absolute immunity” to prevent production of witnesses and documents Congress demanded
- improperly joined lawsuit to shield Trump’s tax returns from New York State
- misrepresented facts in census case
- repeated allegations that Christians in “holy war” with secular left
- threatened minority communities with less police protection if complained about police misconduct
Barr’s violated oath to Constitution and betrayed trust of American people by turning DOJ into shield for presidential misconduct and sword against political opponents. He, like Trump, must be removed before he can further undermine both rule of law and integrity of 2020 election.
