ACTION THREE: FORWARD TO YOUR FRIENDS

PASS ALONG THIS ACTION ALERT, ESPECIALLY TO FRIENDS IN RED STATES. TELL THEM TO KEEP CALLING!

BACKGROUND:

More information is emerging about the atrocities being committed by DHS – in our names:
  • The DHS Inspector General reported shocking overcrowding at an El Paso processing center:
  • 76 people held in a cell meant for 12
  • 41 in a cell for 8
  • 155 in a cell for 35.
  • A girl who delivered prematurely by C-section sat in a wheelchair for seven days; her tiny, listless baby, wrapped in a soiled towel, received no medical care.
  • Refugees are held in “dog pound” cages outside on dirt.
  • Refugees are kept in “icebox” cells, sleep on concrete floors with only a thin Mylar blanket, the lights on 24/7.
  • Asylum-seekers are dumped back into Mexico. “[S]tunned migrants, some of whom had spent days in border jails, trudged … into the sweltering sun. Many had not showered in a week. They had no water, no cellphones, no money, and no place to live.”
  • Refugee children are still being separated from their parents. “They would start crying and it wasn’t just tears, it was screams.”
“We have … a concentration camp system…[a] mass detention of civilians without trial.”
CONGRESS MUST STOP THESE ATROCITIES NOW!
