INCO HOUSE ON FIRE! Community Meeting
Saturday, March 15, at 11 a.m. - 12:30 pm
New location: Grace Episcopal Church parish hall
1545 Franklin Avenue, Astoria. On-street parking only.
Our thanks to Grace Episcopal Church for hosting us.

All of us are living through a Trump-Musk-Republican regime far worse than political experts imagined. The daily outrages make it difficult for anyone to keep up with the rapidly evolving situation. INCO wants to respond as effectively and strategically as we can.

* Will the plans and teams INCO made before Inauguration Day serve our purpose now?
* What can INCO do without duplicating work by other groups?
* How can INCO help you meet the moment?

The INCO leadership team wants to know what YOU want to do and what you want INCO to do. Whether you are "activist curious" or a longtime follower of politics or somewhere in-between, INCO needs to hear from you.

PLEASE ATTEND THE MARCH 15 MEETING.

YOU CAN DSOMETHING
"Please continue to stay engaged. Keep calling and emailing; we track and value your input!  Send us stories about how the Administration's actions are affecting you and your communities. Importantly, encourage people you know across the state and country to do the same. We only need three Republicans to put country over party to block bad legislation and stand up to Trump and Musk's chaos. There's a lot of misinformation out there; speak up and help spread truth."
-- Clatsop County's U.S. Representative Suzanne Bonamici, February 28, 2025

TRUMP VS. UKRAINE AND AMERICA'S ALLIES

Trump, Musk, and Congressional Republicans are abandoning Ukraine and cozying up even more to Putin. If you are concerned, you can contact the embassy and apologize to President Zelensky. 202-349-2963 -- Pres. Volodymyr Zelensky, Embassy of Ukraine, 3350 M. St. NW, Washington DC 20007 -- emb_us@mfa.gov.ua.

"The proof that Zelensky isn't a dictator is the fact that Trump doesn't want to hang out with him."
-- Cathy Meadows, Substack comment, March 1, 2025

"To treat any foreign leader - any guest - visiting the Oval Office with such contempt, belligerence, and ignorance is utterly unacceptable. But for Trump and Vance to behave that way toward a brave leader of a courageous ally whose country is under unprovoked assault is a national and international disgrace. It is also profoundly against America's interests."
-- Norm Eisen, The Contrarian, March 1, 2025

"Never before have we witnessed such a grotesque display of bullying in the Oval Office by a president and vice president of the United States. Berating a democratic ally for the temerity not to sacrifice his own country to Donald Trump's idol, Vladimir Putin."
-- Jen Rubin, The Contrarian, March 1, 2025

WE HAVE EVERYTHING TO WIN
"I believe we can and will prevail, but we must simultaneously act like we have nothing to lose and everything to win. We must be bold, resolute, and willing to step outside of our comfort zone to stop Trump's effort to break America.

".... What must we do in response? Get louder, be more visible, demand more from our political representatives, and stop being polite about it. We are engaged in the serious business of saving democracy, and if we hurt a few feelings along the way, that is a small price to pay to make people understand the stakes."

BLAME THE CO-PRESIDENTS
"Blame Musk and Trump—rightfully—for every bad thing that happens from this point forward, for every job lost, every mortgage in foreclosure, every rent payment missed, every medical bill unpaid or medical procedure foregone because of lack of resources or insurance, every campground closed, every pothole that pops a tire, every flight delayed, every case of food poisoning, every new case of measles and bird flu, every beach closed due to contamination, and every disaster in which aid is slow or denied or stolen to pay for tax cuts for billionaires....

"So, as Trump and Mike Johnson are trying to pass a reconciliation bill against steep odds, Co-President Musk is trying to defeat that same bill. That dynamic makes it clear that Musk is in the dominant position and Trump has assumed the “Putin-bootlicking Position” in his relationship with Co-President Musk....

"As bad as Trump is, deciding to compound his own criminality, incompetence, and narcissism with the incompetence, cruelty, and ignorance of Musk is a lose-lose proposition for Trump, Musk, and the GOP."
-- Robert Hubbell,
