KAMALAZOO
“If we don’t get this election right, your wife, your daughter, your mother, we as women, will become collateral damage to your rage”
-- Michelle Obama, Kalamazoo, Michigan speech, October 26, 2024

Watch Michelle Obama's inspiring speech in Kalamazoo, Michigan, before she introduces Kamala Harris. She is especially fierce about respecting women, their bodies, and lives.
BE A VOTER!
Ballots are due by 8 pm, Tuesday, November 5.
It is too late to mail your ballot.
Take your ballot to a drop box in Clatsop County, listed here.
T
ake it to another Oregon drop box if necessary.

You can confirm that your ballot was received by the county elections office at vote.org/ballot-tracker-tools. The site has links for every state.

VOTE THE ENTIRE BALLOT
Local elections are often won by a handful of votes. State and local governments affect day-to-day life – taxes, roads, schools, emergency services, public safety, and more.

* If you have not received your ballot, call the Clatsop County Elections Office ASAP - 503-325-8605.

YOUR VOTE MATTERS
Republicans win when Democrats don’t vote. Democrats win when Democrats vote.
When Democrats win, America wins.
ELECTION RESULTS:  WHAT TO EXPECT
  1. About 98 percent of all voters will vote using paper ballots.
  2. Most states begin counting mail ballots before November 5. Others, like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, cannot begin until Election Day and will take longer to count. (Passing the Freedom to Vote Act would fix this!)
  3. Ballots are tallied using machines that have been tested and certified to federal security standards — machine counts are much more accurate than hand counts.
  4. Voters who made technical errors on their mail ballots are allowed to fix them in some states. Election officials resolve any discrepancies and verify vote totals.
  5. Recounts are conducted if the results are close.
  6. Election results are officially certified as complete and final.                                                       -- The Brennan Center for Justice, October 31, 2024
ELECTION RESULTS: WHAT TO EXPECT FROM TRUMP
"1.  Files lawsuits (already happening, even before the election!)
2.  Encourages violence (around election day, most likely)
3.  Claims that he won (shortly after election day).

"If Trump again claims too early that he won, this is not just a statement like any other.  It is part of a plan to take power by a candidate who believes that he has lost an election -- a repeat of a behavior that we know very well.

"If Trump claims victory, that is a good sign that Harris has won the election."
-- Timothy Snyder, Thinking About newsletter, November 3, 2024

INCO activist Beeb Ashcroft is seeking volunteers to help with the phone bank she is running for Amanda Taylor, Democratic Candidate For Missouri House of Representatives District 103.

We will make calls through Monday and Tuesday. Calls can be made on your own time, whenever you want from 9AM - 9PM CST on Monday and 9 AM until polls close at 7PM CST on Tuesday. It's a simple system of making calls from a list of numbers on a spreadsheet either from your own phone or Google Voice (your choice). There is no strict script, so this is perfect for those who struggle to keep up with automatic dialers and reading lengthy scripts.

To learn the details of how the phone bank process works and read the script,
If you'd like to participate, just fill out
this form. Beeb will send you a spreadsheet of numbers and a training video. You can make as many or as few calls as you like. Even one call is a huge help!

ARE YOU ON THE LIST?
"I assume that Donald Trump is keeping a list, so I want to make sure that my name is on it as one of those he calls the “enemy within.”"

You probably don't want to be on Trump's list of friends. Check out the rest of Lucian Truscott IV's
declaration of honor.
INCO ENDORSEMENTS
KAMALA HARRIS and TIM WALZ, President and Vice-President. They value competence, integrity, informed decision-making, commitment to democracy and the Constitution, the rule of law, compassion, respect - and policies based on those values.

* SUZANNE BONAMICI, US House of Representatives. She is respected by her colleagues and constituents for her successful long-time advocacy for democracy, schools, families, and other aspects of rural, coastal living.

* ANDY DAVIS, Democratic candidate for State Representative for House District 32. Andy’s priorities are housing, healthcare and education. He tackles business and county budgets and policies with calm and common sense. He works to bring people together for effective, practical problem-solving on the County Budget Committee and as an Astoria City Councilor. Andy puts people over politics to find solutions for our rural and coastal issues.

JAVADI'S LIES: A mailer last week from current state representative Cyrus Javadi lies about INCO and distorts Andy Davis's record. Javadi accuses INCO of being extremists about issues INCO has never discussed or voted on. What else does Javadi lie about?
