9-23-24 Newsletter

"Indivisible has really helped me sleep at night.  ðŸ’¤  Knowing that I'm doing something to help move us across the finish line has done a lot to calm my frazzled nerves!  My neighbor was the one who told me about Indivisible and I've passed that same info along to several others since.  Strength in numbers!"
-- Marian, INCO activist
LAUGH, CRY, AND GET OUT THE VOTE
It started out as the "10 Worst Things about the Trump Presidency," but Robert Reich couldn't stop at 10, or 20, or 50..... Way too many horrible things to remember. INCO recommends Reich's 18-minute video review of the four years that felt like 40. It's a reminder of why we must elect Harris, Walz, and a Democratic Congress this year!

ON THE TABLE THIS ELECTION
"Don't leave anything on the table this election. Democracy is on the ballot. Our future is on the ballot. We cannot say that enough. A Trump win would have devastating consequences. For those of us who follow the news closely, that’s gospel. But for people with less time or who are less engaged, your conversation may be the one that helps them understand the importance of voting. They need to hear that from you, a trusted friend.

"Never doubt the importance of hundreds of thousands of people engaging in civil discourse in their communities. We are doing the work of democracy."
-- Joyce Vance,
Civil Discourse on Substack, September 17, 2024

"Remember: If trump wins, the Republicans retain the House, and Mike Johnson continues as Speaker, there will be two white "Christian" nationalists/supremacists standing second and third in line to the presidency. We must turn the House blue and ensure Hakeem Jeffries holds the gavel."
-- Nancy, reader's comment on Substack
