BACKGROUND:

The long-awaited release of the Mueller Report summary leaves many questions unanswered, expertly summarized by Jennifer Rubin (of the Washington Post):
  • What conduct did Mueller examine when investigating obstruction?
  • Why didn’t Mueller opine on obstruction?
  • Did he find a preponderance of evidence of obstruction?
  • Why did Barr and Rosenstein conclude there was no obstruction-of-justice crime?
  • Did Mueller find no evidence of coordination/conspiracy, or did he disprove it?
  • What explains all the Russian contacts?
  • What financial incentives, if any, did Trump have to favor Russia?
  • Did the Russian government attempt to cultivate Trump as an asset or have leverage over him?
  • Why did Michael Flynn lie about Russia contacts?
  • Why did the president wait so long to fire Flynn?
  • Did any of Trump’s family members or associates lie to Congress, and if so, why are there as yet no indictments?
And why did Barr gratuitously give his opinion of the obstruction-of-justice crime? DOJ policy is not to indict a sitting president.  Why did Barr dismiss evidence of obstruction-in-plain-sight? As if that excuses it?
We must have the full Report and the underlying documentation to answer these questions. The House voted 420-0 to release the Report. Release it now!
