KAMALA HARRIS and TIM WALZ, President and Vice-President. They value competence, integrity, informed decision-making, commitment to democracy and the Constitution, the rule of law, compassion, respect - and policies based on those values.
SUZANNE BONAMICI, US House of Representatives. She is respected by her colleagues and constituents for her successful long-time advocacy for democracy, schools, families, and other aspects of rural, coastal living.
ANDY DAVIS, Democratic candidate for State Representative for House District 32. Andy’s priorities are housing, healthcare and education. He tackles business and county budgets and policies with calm and common sense. He works to bring people together for effective, practical problem-solving on the County Budget Committee and as an Astoria City Councilor. Andy puts people over politics to find solutions for our rural and coastal issues.
Our current state representative is an anti-choice, anti-immigrant Republican.

ABORTION IS ON EVERY BALLOT
"Abortion is on the ballot explicitly in some places this cycle, but in truth, it’s on the ballot everywhere. Protect women’s right to obtain medical care by electing state representatives and governors who support that right and will end abortion bans. Elect members of Congress and a President who will insist on women’s rights. At every step in the political process, elected officials play a role in guaranteeing or denying women’s rights. That choice is up to us." -- Joyce Vance, Civil Discourse, October 7, 2024
"YOUR VOTE IS UNIQUELY POWERFUL"
"There are lots of concerns as we head into this election. The important thing is to not let them paralyze you. Don’t let anyone tell you your vote doesn’t matter—there wouldn’t be forces trying so hard to keep you from voting if it didn’t.
Your votes down ballot in the local and statewide races matter as much as the national ones, and your vote is uniquely powerful in that space. Even if you aren’t in a battleground state, your vote may determine the balance in the House or the Senate, and your governor, state legislator, or even your mayor may impact abortion rights, how migrants are treated where you live, climate change preparation, or any number of important issues.
So register, vote, make sure your vote gets counted, and do your best to involve everyone around you in the process." -- Joyce Vance, Civil Discourse, October 9, 2024

CONVERSATIONS WITH VOTERS
"We're all busy, right? But with the Presidency, House, and Senate all too close to call, experts agree that interactive conversations with voters in this final stretch will be a deciding factor in the fate of our democracy. So we've compiled a list of ways to pitch in on a regular basis that offer flexibility for various situations and schedules. Please note that the phone and texting options require intermediate tech skills and an initial zoom training session.
"We need a blue wave. And the only way we will get it is by turning out every vote possible! We have the grassroots and party infrastructure in place to make that happen. We just need to execute on our plan. The hour is upon us! Let’s do it!" -- Robert Hubbell, Today's Edition, October 9, 2024
